Japanese Acupuncture Style (JAS)

The fundamentals of Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture are almost the same.

However, there are subtle differences.

In diagnosing process, JAS uses abdominal palpation whereas Chinese looks at the tongue.

JAS uses smaller needles with a shallower insertion, making it a more comfortable style for sensitive patients or children.

There are also non-insertive needle techniques. JAS is just as effective as the traditional Chinese style.
